Lent

Jesus said "I am".... 
Spring cleaning is happening @ my house- preparation is being made in anticipation of some very special visitors- they wouldn't care if I did this extra stuff but as a woman it's a way I express I'm glad they're coming by doing the extras around the house.  Lent is also a time to do the extras- most people may not be aware at all that the extra is being done- because it's spring cleaning within our minds, habits, attitudes and behaviors.  This lent I've been thinking about Jesus' words from the New Testament gospel of John- "I am...  the vine,  the gate, the bread of life,  the way,  truth & life,  the good shepherd,  the light of the world, the resurrection and the life"  why am I pondering Jesus' words as I go about my spring cleaning-   it's quiet, funny thing is 'no one bothers me when I cleaning', the guys get lost- 'hey', that means I can think without interruption... more than that it is so I can renew myself to be "Christ's heart, hands and feet" to the corner of this world that I live and move in.
